London born Commercial House Singer-Songwriter Rachelle Fisher has written and performed the official song for UN World Radio Day 2022, 'Loud (Radio)', in collaboration with UNESCO and the Academia Española de la Radio. The Dance track which is three minutes and eight seconds long, is modern, full of energy and features lyrics which echo this year's theme set by UNESCO: 'Radio and Trust'.
Rachelle says "I am thrilled to be involved in a project that is close to my heart. As well as being a Musician, my relationship with Radio broadcasting began at age 19, when I became a Broadcast Assistant Intern for BBC Radio Nottingham, in the UK. I have seen first hand the important role that the Radio plays, in connecting communities, building trust, providing valuable information to diverse audiences and how it innovates with new technologies time and time again; and that is something that should be championed and celebrated."
The original recording which has been released in time for the global celebrations that will take place on Sunday 13th February 2022, has been made available as a free download for Broadcasters and all those who are taking part.
Rachelle whose previous release 'Piano Waves' reached Beatport's Top 100 new Deep House chart, dedicates Loud (Radio) "to every person around the world, who is using the Radio to make a difference in people's lives, locally, nationally or globally."
